| just wanted to post about how much making a colony really lowers your rank and point score and just how long it takes to get those points back on that colony. You have to make at least 40,000 resources to make it worth it. | |

| i have found over the years playing this game that when makeing new planets this is where you lose most of the points some people keep anything with more than 150 fields i only keep 200 fields +
you'll lose so many points trying to get a high fielder but well worth it if it has low fields dont build anything will just make you lose more points | |

Remember that spent deuterium does not count towards point score(only metal/crystal). Also, since a colony ship is rather costly in expensive materials(crystal/deut) the actual drain on your resources is much higher. Given a standard 3:2:1 ratio, we're talking ~110000 metal worth of res in total. If you spend the res to build a colony and it produces 40000 metal(10kM + 20kC +10kD) you aren't even halfway to the real cost of the colony ship. | |

But thats just going on COST alone... what the subject is on points... yes you will drop that ~40k in points BUT you gain a colony with the ability of NEW RAIDING, ADDITIONAL RESOURCE ALLOCATION, and FARTHER ADVANCEMENT in the respects of research/fleet | |
